Just 3 Little Things

During the first week in August, I attended a European Congress held at York University held by the Theosophical Society entitled “Heal Oneself, Heal the World”. With participants old and young from all over Europe it gave plenty of food for thought and reminded me why I wrote the Self Mastery Course here on the Ripples website.
If each of us took responsibility for ‘taming our personality’ from the inside, not only would we understand ourselves more and be happier as a person, but we would also understand others with the ripple effect of becoming more accepting of one another. Finding peace in a manic world which moves at such a pace thanks to technology (which I love by the way) becomes more and more important.
Lockdown helped more people to turn inwards and make changes in their life, but as we learn to live with Covid 19 some of the learning is being lost again. My invitation for those who wish to take it is 3 little practices …
1. When you wake write for the first 5 minutes about anything that comes to you, this is the time to capture your subconscious thoughts and learn what’s going on inside your dreams and early waking moments.
2. Take a few minutes 2 or 3 times a day to stop, close your eyes, turn your gaze inwards, slow your breathing and just ‘be’.
3. Last thing at night reflect on your day and what you learned about yourself and make a few notes.
Small things that over time make a big difference.
Enjoy the rest of the summer and even if you do only remember one thing, then make it a daily practice.
